Probate

We routinely assist heirs with the administration and closing of probate. This includes estate inventory and distribution, appearing before the Arizona court having jurisdiction over the estate, and other matters. We have also assisted families with the inventory and distribution of estates in which the decedent died intestate (without a will).

SIDEBAR

What is Probate?
Probate is the court-supervised process whereby a deceased’s assets are used to pay his or her obligations. The balance is then distributed to the heirs. In Arizona, this process is governed by the Uniform Probate Code.

I have been named the executor of an estate in Arizona, but I live out of the state.

Guardianships (Conservatorships)

In a guardianship or conservatorship situation, a "guardian" or "conservator" is appointed to make medical and/or lifestyle decisions on behalf of a legally incapacitated person. We assist with petitions for appointments of guardians, appropriate notifications of pendency of guardianship actions, preparation of bond applications, and conservatorship inventories. We also appear before the appropriate court of law in guardianship hearings.

We invite you to contact us to discuss your legal needs.
